The comedic superstar, Tracy Morgan, returns to television with The Last O.G., which also stars Tiffany Haddish and Cedric the Entertainer.
We’ve been telling y’all about TBS’ new show, The Last O.G. for a minute now, and thanks to the network we get another solid look at the comedy. Multiple Emmy nominee Tracy Morgan makes his television return as Tray, an ex-con shocked to see just how much the world has changed when he is released from prison after a 15-year bid.
Created and executive produced by Jordan Peele, Tray learns quickly that his home of Do or Die Bed-Stuy is now more like Lattes and Chi, as the borough has undergone significant gentrification changes. He also discovers that his former girlfriend (Tiffany Haddish) has married a guy from the other side (see: white man) and is raising twin children who he never knew existed.
Tray having to do something to stay free out in these streets has to fall back on the skills he learned in prison to make ends meet while treading on unfamiliar territory.
The Last O.G. also stars Allen Maldonado as Tray’s cousin Bobby and Cedric the Entertainer as the head of the halfway house where Tray is staying. Circle April 3 on your calendar for the first episode, as it will air on TBS every Tuesday at 10:30 p.m.
